Hypnotherapy can certainly help you to lower your blood pressure if it is caused by stress. On top of that you may have to change your diet and life style to assist.
20 years ago when I was suffering with stress and anxiety my own blood pressure was through the roof. I was working at HSBC in Sheffield at the time and used to go and see the nurse on a regular basis and over the time I was seeing the Hypnotherapist, my blood pressure went back to normal.
I would recommend reducing your intake of Coffee, tea and alcohol. I also suggest that you gradually eat more stuff that grows in the ground and on trees, rather than excessive amounts of red meat. Eating more white meat, fish and poultry, pulses and beans will be better for you. Cut out excessive use of salt as well. Use low fat milk and dairy products. Change your diet gradually, probably one item a week.
Exercise in a moderation is also good for you and will allow you to use up some of the excess energy you have. A good walk in the country, cycling or swimming will help to reduce stress.
When I work with my customers I can actually connect them to a bio feedback machine and what tends to happen ,their heart rate reduces to about 60 bpm, which is usual while they are in a hypnotic state of mind. I always provide a tailor made Hypnotherapy CD after each session which I recommend using daily between sessions and it will help you to reduce your stress further.
Before I put you into a Hypnotic trance, I will first find out more about your life, so that I can guide you in the right direction. I will then teach you how to breath correctly, release tension and stress from your body, guide you through a number of visualisation exercises and then suggest a number of positive suggestions into your sub conscious mind, while you are very relaxed. Suggestions go much deeper into your subconscious mind while you are in a relaxed state of mind.

As you learn to relax anything from your past that may be causing your stress will be released by your sub conscious mind. You will then be able to deal with any unpleasant events from your past, learning from them and then filing them away again.
Each time you listen to the Hypnotherapy recording, the more your sub conscious mind will take in the suggestions, helping you to change your beliefs and behaviours.
It maybe necessary for you to also change part of your life style, but the Hypnotherapy recording will help you with this.

If you are on medication it maybe a problem to work with you, but I take each situation on merit and if it is a problem I will tell you so. Medication tends to block out what you are feeling and could work against what I am trying to help you deal with. I would never tell you to come off your medication without first discussing it with your GP, but would highly recommend it in a supervised way, so that you can get to the real symptoms.
