Tina Stacey and Beryl Heather for Hexagon Training in Sheffield 2000.
Certified Practitioner of the Art and Science of Neuro Linguistic Programming (N.L.P.)
Certified by the International NLP Trainers association. 15th November 1998. Optimum Performance Manchester.
Much of my NLP training was hypnotherapy based, where I obtained much experience in Trance and Timeline Therapy. Richard Bandler and John Grinder modelled successful people in the field of Therapy and one of the core people was Milton Erickson, who is probably the most famous Hypnotherapists in the world.
Since that time I have gone on a number of workshops, to enhance my skills further.
I did a weekend course on the Sedona Method in Congleton Manchester, then did the home study course and finally went across to America on a seven day retreat in Sedona.
I have also learnt quite a bit about the Journey by Brandon Bays, doing the seminars she held in London, then following this up with weekly practice sessions held in my own local area.
My book shelves are filled with books and courses on Personal Development, that I have looked at and studied.
I have also studied Lucid dreaming, Mind machines and Bio Feedback methods.
But the biggest qualification I had was, that I myself have suffered badly with panic attacks and went on my own personal journey to heal myself and can show other people the way. The University of Life.
1981-1985
I did an Electronics and Instrumentation apprenticeship at British Steel Rotherham. This involved two years training in their training centre, as well as training in my trade, I learned all the other craft apprenticeships. I also gained my Higher National Certificate (H.N.C.) in Industrial Measurement and Control, over a four year period, through day release at Rotherham College of Arts and Technology. The remaining two years of my apprenticeship included working in all the different area’s of Process Control across British Steel Rotherham.
1985-2000
I gained experience across all area’s of the Telecommunications department at Midland Bank, which was taken over by HSBC Bank. I progressed from being a Clerical grade through to a Management grade.
I gained experience in the Voice Department, Operation Centre for the Voice and Data Networks, Data Implementation and Design. While working in the Data Implementation department, I travelled all around the country, overseeing the upgrade of the branch communications network, visiting 500 branches.
My final role in the Telecommunications department at H.S.B.C., involved the design and planning of their Managed Bandwidth Network, that carried all the Voice and Data network traffic at major sites across the United Kingdom and Channel Islands. Some of the traffic the network was carrying was very important, billions of £’s of traffic could cross the network in a mere hour at peak times.
The Managed Bandwidth Network had to be very resilient and secure, therefore there was an awful lot of planning behind it.
2000-2001
I had a career break to decide my future. Did some voluntary work on a Saturday morning with the local Ryton Credit Union in Dinnington, progressing to the Regeneration Trust there.
2001-2008
I have been gradually building my hypnotherapy business. However for a year of this period I worked in the Telesales department of a Carbon Management company, based in North Anston, to gain experience selling a product directly to organisations and companies.
For the first few years I saw clients on a one to one basis. However over the last year, I have started to work with local companies and organisations.
I had the opportunity to carry out four two hour Stress Management Courses (Workshops) for Rotherham Learning Network, who are part of RotherhamMetropolitan Borough Council (R.M.B.C.), these workshops were split between theory and practical. I had the opportunity to work with a good cross section of people.
I have appeared on Radio Sheffield a number of times over the last few years.
My next goal is to appear on local or national television to talk about hypnotherapy.
